Hi

I am running DNN 4.9.5, with the shipped store module that comes with the release.

I have setup a store with an email payment provider, and want to know where I can edit the email messages that are generated at different points in the order process (ie. confirmation of order, change of order status etc ...)

Thanks :)

by default, you are able to modify email templates easily using the language editor in admin menu.

select /desktopmodules/store/app_localresources and the appropriate files.

Hi Sian,

First, you should use the last version available at Codeplex. To translate or adapt all messages from the Store module, you have to use the standard dnn language editor. Please follow these steps:

  • Log as Host
  • Go to Host > Languages
  • Click on 'Language Editor' at the bottom left
  • Select the concerned language (if it's not English) from the 'Available Locales' dropdown list.
  • From the treeview to the left, expand: Local Resources > DesktopModules > Store > Providers > GatewayProviders > EmailProvider > App_LocalResources
  • Select EmailPayment.ascx
  • Change the text from the corresponding resources to the right
  • Click on Update at the bottom left

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

please note: in DNN 5.1, this has been moved to admin menu.

Select proper mode for language editor: use "portal" for portal specific changes or "host" for all portals in your installation.
