Sorry if this is not the place to post for store beta but I have found that the template token [ADDTOCARTIMG] no longer returns an image. I am wondering what the image source is for this token for I have tried to replace all images in the desktopModule store image folder as well as my portal template image folder?

Thank you

Mark

Hi Mark,

This is the right place to report bugs about beta version (the right version number is 02.01.12). I suppose you have more than one locale installed (US English and Japanese). One enhancement with this version is the localized buttons. When a locale is selected (or detected by dnn accordingly your dnn settings), the current locale is added at the end of the image file name (eg: AddToCart_blue_en-US.jpg). By default, only the en-US set is provided but you can create your hown set of localized buttons. I do not know what is the correct code for Japan, may be it's ja-JP. Look at the folder ...\DesktopModules\Store\Templates\Images, you will found the PhotoShop template (buttons.psd) to create your how localized buttons set.

Hi Giles Isn’t the “correct” way to internationalize modules in DotNetNuke not to have text in images so they will be universal? Having a look on standard modules I see small icons next to translated text. In other projects I see images without text as background for translated text. Even in buttons with no text, like “More Info” I have to create a new image with my language suffix. Can you provide a way to default to a universal image if the local version is not present? Thanks, Filipe P.S. I would like to contribute to this product, can you publish the source code in Code Plex?

Hi Filipe,

There is no special rules about images. You can create your hown localized buttons using the buttons.psd file located in the folder ..\DesktopModules\Store\Templates\Images. If you don't want to use internationalized buttons, you can replace the tokens [ADDTOCARTIMG] and [PURCHASEIMG] by there text link counterpart [ADDTOCART] and [PURCHASE] in your templates. You can translate the text using the DotNetNuke Language Editor. If you need an universal icon close to the link text, you can use the [IMAGEBASEURL] followed by your image file name. Your images have to be placed in the folder ...\DesktopModules\Store\Templates\Images or in the folder ...\Portals\n\Store\Templates\Images if the "Portal Templates" setting is checked. As a sample, if your "By Now" image is named bynow.jpg, you have to add the following HTML tag in your template:

  • <img src="[IMAGEBASEURL]bynow.jpg" />&nbsp;[PURCHASE]

I have to finish the Authorize controls before release the code because it tokk many time to create a source package and test it.
