i'm new to using the store module - i installed it but it looked pretty nasty - my catalog items are all over the place, etc...so i really need to sit and play.

1. is there a guide to using the store.

2. can i extend the fields? i have more questions that need to be asked in the purchase of an item.

3. can i submit the order with a price without it actually going to paypal as the order needs to be approved

thanks!

Hi Mary,

You probably use FF? Please look at this search results about problems related to FF, there are several interesting solutions and changes to apply. I modified all css classes and many controls in the next version to be XHTML compliant.

1) Not now, a member work on the documentation. For a small fee, you can look at DNNCreative, they have 8 videos about the Store module.

2) What do you want to do exactly? You can modify the Store module if you want. Please read this post BEFORE install the source vrsion, you will save hours!

3) Yes you can, simply use the email provider. An email is sent to the customer and the store admin at checkout.

Hi Mary,

There is no dnn 5.1 version but 5.0.1! ;-) The current version of the Store module DO NOT work with dnn 5.x, the next version is compatible with dnn 4.x AND 5.x.

Sorry, the Store module use C# only. Some month ago a dnn user post in an other forum (may be Extend It) that he has converted the module to VB, but it's not supported by me.
