Hi,

I think this should be a simple question, but I can't seem to find an answer.  Is there a way to disable the requirement of being a registered user?  My client doesn't want customers having to register to checkout.

Thanks,

Bryan

Ok, I've got it working, or at least it appears that it works.  Sure would be nice if there were unit tests with this, but gota make due.

Hopefully someone with more knowlage of how this works can confirm, but this is what I did.  I commented out the check for the user being logged in in the CustomerCart.ascx.cs file then in then AddressController.cs file I changed all the addressinfo properties to empty strings.  Last I removed the db constraint from the address to users table in the db.  Are there any other little things that might trip me up that I need to be aware of?

Thanks,
Bryan

Hi Bryan,

They are many places where the user account is used. You should disable the "Order History" in the Store Account module and check in each controls loaded from the checkout control. Moreover, you should modify the PaymentControlBase.cs class method generateOrderConfirmation() in the DotNetNuke.Store.Cart project. This method use some references to the user account and to the page where is placed the Store Account module, think to modify the corresponding resource files too.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Guys,

I need to solve the same problem, checkout without registration.  Did anyone arrive at a tidy recompiled dll they can share? I've got away so far without needing to open visual studio or modify modules and right now I just need to get the problem solved so any help is appreciated!
