What is the best way to create a link that takes you directly to product details from a non-store module page? For example, you might have a page discussing a topic that is related to a certain product and you'd like to put a link there that lets the user jump right to the details on that product.

In this case you could just manually enter the link in the page.

Just navigate to the product in question and copy the URL from the browser window.
Then just use this URL for your hyperlink in the "Topic Discussion" or where ever needed.. Of course this link would become broken should the product be deleted.

I hope this helps... or maybe you already know all this :-)

Thanks, that works fine.

Any ideas on how to use the Store token [MODELNUMBER] to set up the link to the Product Details? I was thinking that organizing links by model number might be easier to maintain.
