I would like to know how to get rid of using tables to display products, i have edited all the templates to use correct HTML (table-less) but it seems there is no way to get rid of tables used to display products according to the rows and columns specified in the modules settings. Tables should only be used for representing data not layout, this causes many headaches when it comes to design.

Hi Tim,

The product catalogs use a datalist to display the products (see the processToken function in ProductList.ascx.cs).  As far as I know there isn't a way to get a datalist control to display without using tables.  You could try replacing the datalist with a repeater control.  You'll also need to modify function lstProducts_ItemDataBound in ProductList.ascx.cs which creates a table for each product to be displayed.  There may be other places that need changing, but I think that should get you pretty close.

Hope this helps,

Don

Hi Tim,

Please read this blog post.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
