Not sure if this is an enhancement request or a request for information.  I would like to integrate with PayPal Pro which allows you to stay on your site while paying for a product.

Does the current build support this?  Are their plans to add this functionality?  Is it possible for me to write some code to do this myself?

The current build does not support PayPal Pro. I'm pretty sure we have already added to the list of enhancements we are considering for the future. I will make sure of that though.

The payment gateways in the Store module are provider-based. So you can definitely write your own. The project blog for the Store module has a link to a whitepaper we created that explains how to create your own payment gateway.
