On our site, we use our store for customers to sign up and pay for topic specific seminars that are held on a specific date. Currently, the catalogue is showing the products in no specific order, so a seminar in April is displayed next to a seminar in January. Is there any way to tag these products so they are displayed in the correct matter according to the calendar date of the product? Or will all the products have to be entered again in the specific order?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The order used is diiferent for each sections in the Store Catalog module. You can modify it with a database tool like Enterprise Manager.

Section Sort Order Stored Procedure
Featured Products Random (using NEWID() function) Store_Products_GetFeaturedProducts
New Products CreatedDate DESC Store_Products_GetNewProducts
Popular Products Store_OrderDetails.Quantity DESC Store_Products_GetPopularProducts
Category Products ModelName ASC Store_Products_GetProducts

Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi,

I'm WRONG! For products displayed by category, an hard coded sort by ModelName is applyed! This will be removed in the next version.
