Hi there,

I've changed something on the productInfo.cs file and now i'm trying to recompile the whole store module. I opened the DotNetNuke.Store solution in visual studio 2003 and when i tried to compile i got a bunch of errors, all of them about namespaces that couldn't be found.

Any idea, any suggestion...........i'm lost.

Thanks.

Hi,

Which version of the module do you use?

Gilles

I'm using Store 1.0.

It looks like some namespaces are missing so i was thinking that maybe i'm not opening the source right.

Let me know if i'm doing the right thing. Unzip the Store_01_source.zip. Then i rename the DNN_Store.resources to  DNN_Store.zip and i also unzip this. The latter one i used as source. But it doesn't contain all the dll file.

I'm not really familiar with the asp.net structure so please, let me know how can i recompile the source after changing something.

Thank you,

Ioana.

Hi Ioana,

It's possible that some references are not defined. I do not work with this version, because it's an old one and very buggy.

You can install the source as you do it. But, it's more simple to install the source version like any other module. When a package contain a file with .resources extention, dnn know that it contains source files and install it if the manifest file (DNN Store.dnn) have a section <resourcefile>filename.resources</resourcefile>!

If you use VS 2005, it's too long to explain how to convert a library project to a WAP project. The library model was those used with VS 2003, WAP is the new one used with VS 2005. Search in the forum and with Google for: WAP, you will find tons of details.

Read my reply to your other post.

Ok, so if i want to change something in the code, for this new WWStore version, i'll have to find out how to convert a library project to a WAP project? That means, after changing the source, i have to know how to compile it back to WAP project. Did i get it well?

I'll do a research on this, no worries, there's no point in wasting your time with tons of explinations :). Google is my  friend.

Thank you,

Ioana.
