OK, this is pretty weird, but when I go to Add Custom Module and upload the Store_01.00.00_Install.zip module, nothing happens. No messages about installing the module at all. It just goes back to the list of modules, where it does not appear.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I have seen this on my own development box when using DNN 4. When I upload a module, instead of seeing the module install script, the browser returns directly to the Module Definitions page without installing the module. For me, this problem occurred with another module (not the Store).

Manually killing "w3wp.exe" allowed me to upload the module on the next attempt. You could also try clearing your browser's Temporary Internet files. Has anyone else seen this?

Hi there,

I was just experiencing the same problem in 4.0.2, no matter what module I tried to upload it would take me right back to the Module Definitions page. I tried restarting services, rebuilding, restarting, all to no avail.

Out of curiousity I changed the skin to the default DNN Green skin from the free skin I downloaded, and voila, it worked... as I'm fairly new to DNN, I don't know if a skin could/should impact the portal in any way such as this, but I've managed to replicate the problem so it appears that the skin does indeed affect this function.

Hope this helps,

PP
