The beta store is very intuitice to setup and get going.  It's a pleasure after fighting with some of the over-engineered mods found on snowcovered.

one question.  why do you have to define an address in the profile?  why isn't the store aware of the DNN user account address?

We are considering how to improve the workflow for billing and shipping addresses in the Checkout process.

You have a very good idea about using the address information from DNN's user profiles. Originally we did not use this information because DNN only allows one address. For the Store, we needed to allow several billing and shipping addresses. Plus we would need to validate for the case when the site does not require address info for user accounts.

Hopefully we will be able to improve this and make use of DNN's address info in a future version.

that makes sense.  i figured there was a reason.  it was a little confisung though and i could see a new buyer instinctively filling out the address in the DNN registration and then not realizing to do it again using the profile link.  it took me awhile to find it and i wouldn't want a buyer to stop because he is confused.

first let me say that i'm really liking the store module.  However, I found that entering a new address via the 'profile' is not a little confusing its very confusing from a users point of view. I don't think every user that comes across the dnn store is going to know what 'dotnetnuke' is and so making it painless and very simple to buy is important. I've always tried to make my shopping carts easy to use and not require to much effort on the users part.  e.g. click checkout -> (does user have an address, e.g. previous customer) yes -> default to the last used address but allow user to select others or 'No' -> go the address entry form automatically so the user is prompted to enter an address. It would be great if there was a 'My Account' page or even 'Profile' and 'Order History' so these items can be placed on the main menu or in a more prominent place.

We are currently reworking some checkout kinks and the user address entry. An order history module is on the road map as well. Thanks for your input, its very appreciated.
