A new version of the feedback module has been released (version 4.4.3).

This new release has the following new enhancements

  • Ability to customize what is displayed in the View Comments section.
  • Ability to setup categories with email addresses as the values - this allows the feedback generated to be sent to the email addresses specified for a given category.
  • Ability to delete feedback posts (prior to this, user was able to only archive old posts).
  • Moderation is setup by roles so that you can assign different users/roles to specifically only moderate posts.
  • Setting up Categories and Subjects is configurable by roles - you can assign a username or a role that is responsible for setting up categories/subjects.
  • Enhanced the width setting to be either a percentage or a pixel based value.
  • Form fields are hidden after a feedback is submitted to ensure duplicate "submits" are not clicked for the same post.
  • SendFrom Email address added to settings which allows for a separate address to be used as the SendFrom.

This new release also has the following fixes.

  • ID values (for Categories and Subjects) is now displayed in the relevant sections (emails generated and view comments) instead of the ID itself.
  • Saved the person's name as part of the feedback submitted.
  • Ability to manage categories is not restricted to the Administrator only.
  • Fixed the Module Settings not persisting to the database upon saving of the settings.
  • Fixed the name field to be a required field on the feedback form.
  • Fixed the checking of the subject setting values using String.IsNullorEmpty instead of IsNothing.

This release supersedes version 4.4.2 which was included in the 4.8.0 release of DotNetNuke. There was a bug discovered after the release had been pushed out which required a revision to the 4.4.2 version of the feedback module - ie 4.4.3.
It is highly recommended that if users have downloaded and installed version 4.4.2 of the feedback module, they install over it the 4.4.3 version of the module which can be downloaded from the project page.

Thanks
