Many of us are using the popular ActiveForums module.

Here's a tutorial for Adding Adsense to ActiveForums:

Many thanks John.

If I introduce the Active Forums on my website, this will be very handy to know.

I have also added that tutorial to my listing here.

Cheers.

John,

Are there limitations to the core forum module that would prevent a similar tweak to incorporate these 'leader-boards?'

I floated this suggestion here before and was told it "would require changes in the data schema." After reviewing your tutorial, it seems that even I possess the requisite cut-and-paste schema needed to pull this off. Good stuff, thanks.

The advantage with ActiveForums is that it is easy to modify the template so that the code shows up right after the first post.

I bet it could be done in the core forums with a creative Regular Expression though.

I was actually able to create a pretty nice replacement rule for the core blogs to make better Urls for SEO:

When I get some free time I'll try making it work with the core forums.
