DotNetNuke uses a membership provider that is based on te Microsoft Membership provider, but it is customized so I would not reccomend using that link.

I think i figured this out.

But what if i use Microsoft Membership Provider in another application to authenticate users on my other websites and i want to auth them on DNN too, using my current users DB ?

Can i do that ? How to ?

Pierre,

for this purpose, DNN 4.6.0 introduced Authentication provider interface. Authenticating against your Application would be done the same way as against OpenID, LiveID, Cardspace or ActiveDirectory.

Yeah, my searches on the internet pointed me to this solution. developping my own Authentification Provider.

Could someone point me to some tutorials ? Or at least to the LiveID source codes, because my app currently behave exactly like the LiveID one, except i don't generate a "secret key"...

Our auth app is no more than asp net membership...
