I am developing a module for our company intranet.

I have developed a user control that is registered 4 times in my dnn module.

My user control is registered 4 times with unique tagnames and tagids.

My usercontrol uses GetElementById  in java scipt to identify hiddenField.ClientId.

There seems to be a problem - GetElementById does not return the correct hiddenField instance.

If think this is a problem with having the same usercontrol registered 4 times on the same dnn module.

Any idea what's going?

Any help appreciated.

Regards,

Paul.

Paul,

When dealing with server side controls if anything is loaded in a container that supports the INamingContainer interface (User controls etc) the item's id can be changed by .NET.

You can use the ClientId property of your control to inject the proper client id into your javascript...
