I have played with the DNN Nav for several days and there seems to be a few unforgivable problems. I have noticed several posts about the background-image css property not being observed by root-menu items with child items -- I have the same issue. The menu also seems to be sluggish when compared to solpartmenu.

Until the Nav Menu matures, I will have to continue using the SOLPARTMENU. If anyone knows how to remedy the "hanging child item" problem, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

AFAIK there are no real CSS issues with DNN Menu, take a look at the skin that comes with DNN 4.9, it works and uses the menu.

Did you try to set the PopulateNodesfromclient to false?

Timo,

Thank you for your help. I've gotten some feedback from others saying they are having no problem, so I believe it must be a setting in my IE.
