Hello,

I am likely missing something here... But I'm setting up a bootstrap template, and so I need a different one for "three column" vs "one column" pages. Given that, I've set an "Edit Skin" in the site settings to be the "one column" skin. This mostly works fine, but, I've noticed that on the "Edit Profile" page, it seems to always use the site skin - my "three column" one. This happens despite the "ctr/" parameter in the URL.

Any ideas? Is there a way I can get my one column skin to be used when somebody edits their profile.

Thanks,

Mike

Just following up on this - anybody have any idea what might be happening here? Isn't the "Edit" skin supposed to show when the ctr parameter is in the URL? Is this a bug? I'm just not sure how it's supposed to work so I don't know if I should submit a ticket.

Thanks,

Mike

AFAIR the edit skin should show when ctrl and edit is in the url, not when other controlkeys are used.

Looking at the 7.2.1 source - the test is currently -
_IsAdminSkin = (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(ControlKey) && ControlKey != "view" && ModuleID != -1)

So the check is ctr (controkey) not equal to 'view' and a mid (ModuleID) not equal to -1

As such both mid and ctr need to be set.

Wes: You're right - it's the module ID. But, since the edit profile module is full width, it would make sense to use the edit skin right? Obviously I can make a direct link to the edit profile page for people, but I can't find a way to only show such a custom link to the logged in user when they're looking at their profile.

Does anybody know a way around that problem? I could solve it either by being able to make a link that only shows when the [querystring userid] = [logged in userid] or if there were some way I could customize that view.

Thanks,

Mike
