When I make a reference copy of a module, is it possible to have anything about that module, i.e. a setting, be unique to both instances?  For example.  I have the events module, on 1 page I want to show it as a list and I've made a copy of the events module and put it on a different page.  On the 2nd page I want to show the module as a week view.  I've tested this and I know it isn't possible.  But it speaks to my example of a setting.  I realize this setting in particular is shared.  But is it possible to have a setting that is NOT shared with a referential copy of a module?

Thanks

    Nick

Hi Nick, if you're talking about the DNN Events module, then yes you can. You need to add the second module as a new one (not referenced) and then set that as a sub-calendar of the first one. Then you can set the view as you wish. For future reference, the Events module has its own sub-forum here http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F... where you'll get to talk to the module developers.

Hey Pingle,
I was just using the Events module as an example. My intent is to be able to share the content across referenced modules, but have a setting that is not shared so that the data can be presented in two different ways. That is interesting about the Events module though. I did not know that could be done. I will look and see how that's done and see if it might work for me.

Thanks,
Nick
