Yes, there is an Install Extension Wizard in DNN 7 but as in earlier versions of DNN, it is under Host --> Extensions not Admin --> Extensions. For some reason even though it appears that you are logged in as Super User Account the Host menu is not appearing in the new Control Bar.

  • Have you tried accessing the site as host user in a browser other than Firefox?
  • Was this a new install of DNN 7.0.0 or an upgrade from an earlier version?
  • What happens if you try (after logging in as host user) to navigate directly to the following default paths:

http://localhost/dnn//Host/Extensions...

http://localhost/dnn//Host/HostSettin...

http://localhost/dnn//Host/SuperuserA...

Are you able to then see the appropriate host pages or do you receive an access denied error?

If it is a new install and you have not yet added much custom content, I would suggest deleting the current installation and database and trying to install from a new download of DNN 7.0.0 Community Edition after you have verified that you have installed MS SQL Server 2008 (including SQL 2008 Express) and that the application pool in which the site will be running is set to ASP.Net 4.0, Integrated Pipeline mode.
