We have set up DNN 6.2 and have been running a site on the platform with out to many problems. Decided to set up a Parent Portal Website for one of our other businesses on platform and put this in place plus pointed DNS to IP address for hosting server.

When we type in the web address however we get a page with the DNN logo and an error message: Dotnetnuke Error: An error has occurred an error has occurred.

Url header reads as follows: http://www.thebytechannel.co.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=173&error=An%20unexpected%20error%20has%20occurred&content=0

Can anyone help me sort this out. At the moment I can't access the site as super admin so no way to go in and modify site. The programer is happy we have IIS set up and have followed steps.

Any help would be really appreciated.

 Thanksin advance Steve

Be sure the domain name is added to IIS and to the alternate adresses on the Portal settings.

Afraid we are still getting the same error, any help on why this is happening would be great.

This error could be caused if any changes on the permissions or IIS settings where done. Also after a failed update if the DNN instance, or an error on a custom module that is on the start page.

Without more detailed information there is nothing we can do without access to the server and the sql server.
