some strange reason I cannot log into my portal after I changed to Email for usernames.   I may be inserting the wrong password but I have checked it every way possible and had it written down to verify.

I had a thought that it would be nice if the login took both username or email address as an input so a user could choose either way of remembering how to log into the website.

I am not sure if anyone else had an issue like this I will try to see what I can do to get logged in but I had no problem loggin into the website until I changed that setting.

I had the passwords written down in notes and so I believe I am using correct password,  I believe there is a problem with the login system.  So I tried it on another website I set it to use email address for usernames and logged out.  THen tried logging and I could not log in using my username or email address for username there after.

So what I am having a problem with on 2 seperate installs is using the feature that allows you to allow users to login using email address.  It does not work and locks me out.  It will not allow me to log in at all.  I just logged in and logged out so I know I am using the right password on that portal.

I was hoping ot use the email for a user name as people usually remember this easier than a unique username.  I thought it was a great feature if ti worked but so far I cannot log in with it.

I did turn on the FB, G+, Twitter and LiveID authentications but my problem is not with them that I know of yet.   Its just with the email for username feature that once I set the portal to use that it wont allow me to log in anymore.

Again my problem is using "Email" for username has made it so portals cannot be logged into for some odd reason.  I will find the setting to set it back to username for login but was hoping to use this feature however it does not seem to work right.

Anyone else having a problem using "EMAIL" as username setting and logging into the portals? So far every portal I have tried this on fails. I am looking for possible reasons like maybe its looking at username field from old registrations instead of looking at the email they input when they registered. I can switch it back to using usernames througth the DB but just wondering if it even works for anyone so I know I am not alone. I will dig into the code some and see what maybe acting wierd just thought someone else would be having the same issue or it could be reproduced so I know I am not crazy :)

Thanks
