In DNN 06.01.04 I had the "Custom Profile Fields" showing in the user's profile, that way if they needed to edit the value, they could.

After upgrading to 06.02.00, the fields dissapeared. Anyone know if this is a bug, or is there a setting I am missing?

H Ben, these got moved in DNN 6.2.0 to Admin > Site Settings > User Account Settings tab, expand Profile Settings. EDIT: Reading through your post again, I may have misunderstood you first time. However, you may need to reapply the settings you had before.

Pingle:

Thanks but I was already aware that this section was moved.

After researching further, I realized that the custom field only shows up for "regular" users, but doesn't appear on the HOST account. That's solves the problem of the User Profile...however....

There is a problem that the Custom Profile Field (DataType: List), does not "populate" on the REGISTRATION page. I have the system set to require a valid profile at time of registration, causing my custom field to display on the registration page. The field shows up perfectly fine, however the dropdown list is empty. This feature worked in version 06.01.03 but stopped working when I upgraded to 06.02.00. This is a problem because now NO ONE can register a new account.

I'd like to see the corp monitor the forums better after any release but especially one that affects profile data.

Is there documentation that describes all of the changes, how to manage profile fields, etc.?

Thanks.

Oh my goodness - *face palm*

I have just spent the last 1/2 day trying to work out why I can't get this to work.

I thought I had spaces, so I deleted them, I thought I had to use all lower case, upper case, short word, long words, use the list, not use the list, add from the site settings page, check localisation, look in the database and find it's not there, clear the cache, reset the application.. all these things and it does not work.

I am SO ANNOYED I upgraded an important site. I did back it up and test as much as I could but now with 1 month of content, another 600 users, and that many changes it's not feasible to roll back, nothing is working.

I think my stars are misaligned, because wordpress is looking good.
