Hello ,

I need to tighten my security at my DNN portal. When i log on to my portal if i open a second tab and go to the address of my portal im already logged on. Even worse if im logged on to my portal and i close the tab and then i open a new tab or a new browser window and enter the sites address im still logged on. I need to disable Concurrent Sessions for my DNN portal.

Any thoughts.

DNN ver. 4.08.02

Thanks in advance

D

DotNetNuke uses an authentication cookie to determine if you're logged in, so this is not possible. Please note, if you're serious about security you must upgrade to a more recent version - 4.8.2 suffers from well known critical security issues (I would recommend 5.6.5 or 6.2.0)

Thanks for your reply. With its default settings dnn allows the same user to log on many times . How can i deny access to a user if this user credentials is already logged on or better automatically log out the first user in order for the second user to log on with the same credentials.

thanks in advance

d

dDom, Can you be more specific about how a user might log in more than once? Do you mean from different computers or all on the same computer/browser?
