Hi all,

I have a problem which I would love someone to give me a help with. I'm have a situation where the users of a DNN portal will use client certificates in order to log in. I have extended the default authentication provider with this.

The big problem is the fact that the administrators of the site don't have any valid certificates, only the regular users. I would like to make it possible for the administrator to be able to log in andadminister the users, and also to be able to use a module located on the site, but I don't want to make it possible for anyone to reach the external site without a valid client certificate.

Any ideas to how to do this? I have thought of a seperate installation of DNN that somehow shares the same userdB. This site would be internal behind a firewall with no external access. Is this possible to accomplish or should I do it in some other way?

I'm grateful for any help in this matter.

your admins might use iweb to manage users (iweg.adefwebserver.com)

I have tried this now but I don't see how this solves my problem. As soon as I demand a client certificate it is not possible to reach DNN through the webservice.

Any suggestions on how to handle this issue, or is it simply impossible?
