One of our interns set the login page to re-direct to another page.  What they thought they were doing was to re-direct the page AFTER login. But, in fact, it's set to redirect BEFORE login.  As such, we can't login to admin the site because the login page keeps re-directing to this other page.

Does anyone know how you can recover this?  I sure hope so because we're dead in the water until we can get it back. I've been combing the datbase looking for anything but am sort of looking for a needle in the haystack at the moment.  Any help would be most gratefully appreciated!

Well, never mind - I was able to find the re-direct setting the Tabs table and remove it.  Whew!!!!

If you have set up a separate login page, then you should have a record for it in the Tabs table. I think the field you are looking for is the URL field, which will be containing the tab id to redirect to. If you just erase the value there (leave a blank string) then the page should stop redirecting. You can do this easily if you're familiar with SQL Server (since you're combing the database, I guess you are and suppose you do have access to your database via Management Studio).

DotNetNuke them!

Glad you found it. I clicked the "submit" button a bit too late I suppose :)

Thanks for the help. I just go lucky and guessed right. I could always have opted for restoring the db from last nights backups but really didn't want to go that far. This was far, far more educational - both to research and to noodle through the db.
