Hello guys,

Loved OpenForce Vegas this year by the way.

What I am trying to accomplish is this:

If a user goes to http://www.mysite.com/myfolder I would like to be able to redirect the user to http://www.mysite.com/my-page.aspx

I am using Ifinity.FriendlyUrl provider.

What happens when I try to go to the directory, it tries to redirect me to the Host site with the same directory like http://www.myhost.com/myfolder and I get a "file not found error" ofcourse.

Any help really appreciated.

What you're experiencing is because the directory doesn't exist.  Even if you create the directory though, the default document won't exist in it either.  Either way, IIS will determine that it isn't there and issue a 404 before iFinity can get involved.  The way around this is an ISAPI redirect for IIS that intercepts the request before DNN gets it or a default document in the folder that does a redirect.  If you're using IIS 7 then you can use the Microsoft IIS redirect to do this.

Thanks Jeff.

Can you give me some more info please? Why would not the folder exist? Or the default file inside the folder exist? I created the physical folder, and  I created the physical file default.aspx, but it seems like DNN is intercepting my call to the folder, and disregarding it? Is DNN or IFinity overriding IIS in a way so the default document inside a folder is not executed?
