I know this must be a stupid question but can we turn off the email that gets generated when a user's role changes? I found where I edit the email, but can't figure out how to turn it off.

Any help is appreciated.

AFAIR, the is a check box beneath the role name ddl, you may uncheck to skip the notification.

Is there a way to keep this checkbox unchecked by default?

In the securityroles.ascx file (DesktopModules\Admin\Security), you can change the Checked state of the checkbox.

Keep in mind that you most likely have to redo this modification each time you apply a DNN update.
