Folks,

My search index has lots of old content that has long been deleted.  How do I purge this?  Better still, how do I tell the search provider to auto-purge stale content?  I have stuff in there indexed in February hanging around.

Thanks!

Plase follow the below mentioned steps  --- login with host account  >>  go to SQL under host tab

  1. Run this script
  2.  cleared search index by :: truncate table {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWordPosition
    DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWord
    DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchWord
    DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItem

  3. Then under host menu selected "Search Admin "  and clicked on " Re-Index Content" link.

And after that new contents starts coming in search.

You can schedule when to check for new indexes.
