Folks,

I have code like this to force linkclick to download an mp3 file:

Globals.LinkClick(talk.AudioFile, PortalSettings.ActiveTab.TabID, ModuleId, true, true);

This generates a link like this:

http://seattleinsight.org/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=N2FFyzJHLyQ%3d&tabid=90&mid=825&forcedownload=true

This should be tracking the clicks on this download, but I can't figure out where.  I found a table called urltracking that seems to have what I want, but none of my mp3 files are in this table.

So how does LinkClick work?  Is there a module I can install somewhere that just shows all my tracking data?

linkClick requires the link to be added to the Urls table and AFAIK does not track links to internal files or pages.

Okay, so how do I track the number of downloads? I can't add my Google Analytics code to the linkclick.aspx provider.

So... can we get back to the original question? How exactly DOES link tracking work? Our community manager has asked us for link click numbers; it seems that although the UrlTracking table has data, all of the values are 0!  What's going on here?
