 Hello everybody.

I am using DNN 4.8.2 for months now, in our ne website. I am very happy with the results, and I solved many problems I had with previous implemetations.

However, I am facing a problem here, which is very annoying... Some times, users are getting a System.Web.HttpException: Request timed out error. There is nothing that gives me a clue whatsoever, under what circumstances it happens... The problem is that we have >200 such errors per day in our site.

Does anybody have any idea why is this happening?

Also, we have disabled almoste every scheduleed event. Does this have anything to do with the errors? Shouwe enable some tasks and if yes, which one and why?

please check size of the site log and the schedule Hiistory as well as the Eventlog table in your database.

next check the size of the Database transaction log, if necessary truncate it.

Besides, I strongly suggest to upgrade to DNN 4.9.4 due to a number of issues, including security risks, being fixed!

Site log is empty. Event Log table, is being emptied manualy 2-3 times per week, so it's size is relatively small.

Schedule History is 61 records long.

Transaction log is 177MB and gets truncated by SQL schedule which runs sometime in the night, when the traffic is at lowest levels.

We are planning to upgrade to DNN5.x, but this will happen after extensive testing in sumertime.
