Let's say I have a DNN site with a blog module on one page, and an Announcement module on another page.

Is there a module I could use that would query the most recent posts in both modules and create a roll up or aggregation of this data?

Generally, I'd like to show on the homepage of this site the most recent blog posts and announcements so the end user could easily see the most recent updates for both pages/modules in one place.

I was looking at using RSS feeds with the news module perhaps, but this seems overkill since all the data already exists in the database.

I'd love to hear if anyone was successfully able to do this.

There are 3rd party tabstrip aggregators, but it will affect the performance of your site.

IMHO the best would be to aggregate using RSS.
