All,

I purchased a couple of ssl certificates for two of my sites. One of them is hosted with goDaddy and the other one I am hosting myself.

The goDaddy hosted site:
It is up and running. It displays my two pages in HTTPS, but, when I try to access the Host Settings, the site dies, an error occurs.

The Site I am Hosting:
SSL Cert is installed, the site does not display HTTPS pages, but, I have the same issue when accessing the Host Settings, the site dies.

I figure this could be a good thread because I have limited access to IIS settings with GoDaddy, but I have full access of my IIS6 Server @ home.

Any and all help is appreciated as both of my sites are partially functional right now. Thank you,

George

 Update:

The goDaddy hosted site has resolved itself and is now loading and letting me access Admin and Host setting with no issues.

The one I am hosting at home still does not allow me to access the Admin nor Host pages.

How can I turn off Require SSL site setting in the database?

Thanks,

George,

DO you get a specific error message when trying to go to settings?  If so, what is it?

I do not how to look up errors other than in the event manager in dnn. Is there a way to look up errors via an error log or directly querying the database?

I can log in fine, the portal is running fine as well, it is the host and admin pages that it errors on, page not found.

Thanks,

George

On my own hosted installation I ended up cancelling the SSL Certificate, Removed it from IIS.

My hosted site was still not working when accessing Admin or Host Menu's

My solution was to tweak the database myself:

I queried my entire database, all tables, all columns, for the string '%SSL%' (with wild cards).

I manually modified a few flags and values in order to return the portal to my command.

thank you for your assistance.
