I recently started at a new company, who uses DNN for their intranet, and I am just beginning to learn about it.  One thing I need to change is the way that SMTP messages are sent from the intranet site.  I looked at the main page and the site settings, but i can not find anything related to it.

 

I checked this forum, and searched, and I saw some posts pointing to host settings and then changing from there, but I cant find any kind of a GUI that allows me to change any settings, and the IIS manager has no settings either.  Can someone point me in the correct direction?  Thanks in advance.

If you login as the HOST account, or another superuser account, you should see an additiona menu item, near the "admin" menu item called "host" under that you will find a host settings page. Scroll down on that page and you should see a SMTP section.

What is it that defines a user as a superuser?  I dont see that as a category, and I do not believe anyone knows the host account pw.  I dont see the host user in the list of users, is it possible to reset that password?

I tried to login as host, and no one knew the pw, so I ram an smtp trace and hit the forgot password button, and found where it was going to, and then received a reminder email, so I was able to log in then.  THanks for the help..
