I'm a newbie! I am using DNN 455. I installed a new skin and have basic page layouts.

1) I want to start adding text however Edit Text does not appear in the module drop down list. I am logged in a Super Administrator. Am I wrong in assuming this is part of the core installation?

2) How do I add images to the Sponsors module?

3) I uploaded a text file to a new folder and can view in File Manager. However when I attempt to import content the Root and sub folders can be selected but no files appear in the file list. I re-synched the files but don't know what that does. What else do I need to do?

4) Once I overcome #1, how do I insert images into the text areas?

Thank you!

ad 1) there shall be an "Text/HTML" item in the module drop down list. add it to the content pane and it will display "edit text" (if you are in view mode - see top left corner of your browser window).

OK, I got that to work. Thank you! Now how do I get to the RTE?

When I'm logged in as Super Administrator and click on the edit icon above the Module name I do not get a text area like I get when I post to the forum. I do not have the Basic Text Box and Rich Text Editor radio buttons. The only thing I have is an editable area for changing the module title.

I'm lost because after following the directions for creating pages and layouts, nothing else works as documented.

Lost in DNN land...

Tim

when you hover a module title or another text area and an edit pencil appears, it is intended for inline editing - saving you to go to an edit or settings table. the "Edit Content" button shall still appear - if you are in edit mode (have a look at the upper left corner of your browser window). HTH
