In 05.00.00.sqldataprovider file, replace 

DROP INDEX IX_{objectQualifier}Packages ON {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Packages.Packages

with

DROP INDEX {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Packages.IX_{objectQualifier}Packages

rerun complete script from Host :: SQL and ignore errors

next run 05.00.01 and 05.01.00 scripts (also ignoring errors).

The upgrade does not complete (it ends up with the error), so I am not able to login to the application to run the above scripts from host.

FINALLY I managed to make all the changes to the sql provider file and try the upgrade.  Even though the message says the site is successfully upgraded I am having a lot of issues:

1)00:02:34.391 -   Executing Application Upgrades: 05.01.00 Error! - The upgrade log file is empty.


2) I have both DNN authentication and AD authentication - AD authentication is missing

3) HTML module throws error - Error posted below

4) Module definitions page throws error

5) Seems like the extensions page is not installed

6)Not sure what is missing

I have tried numerous times to upgrade now each time starting with the backup of database and application code. No success. 

ANY HELP REALLY APPRECIATED!

When I log in to the site, the HTML module throws error:  here is the error

I tried to go to the MODULE DEFINITIONS that page has the following error:

The problem is caused by the SQL syntax. The DROP INDEX query is written for MSSQL2005 and not for MSSQL2000.

I ran into the same problem and was hoping that in the stable release this was solved. Surprisingly 5.1 is only valid for MSSQL2005 and higher.

This issue has been identified and will be fixed for DNN 5.1.0 (AFAIR it hasn't been logged into our issue tracker prior to DNN 5.1.0 release by any user).
