I am quite happy, because my upgrade went reasonably well, just a few problems.

The site was a DNN 3.2.2 with SQL2000 and asp.net 1.1 and I went in one go to DNN 4.5.3 with SQL2005 and asp.net 2.

4 upgrade logfiles 3.2.3, 3.3.1 and 4.3.1 all had a message about FK_Files_Folders: The ALTER TABLE statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_Files_Folders". and 4.4.0 only said Error: HelpURL.

At first a few things didn't work but after reinstalling and upgrading all the modules the site worked fine. Very handy to have all the core modules ready to install and to have the upgrade indication for installed modules. Beautiful work.

But what doesn't work is the scheduler. If I select timer method in the host settings there is a scheduler timeout exception every 10 minutes in the event viewer. And if i try to see the scheduler I get a Error: Schedule is currently unavailable and in the event viewer a module load exception:  InnerException: Timeout expired.

Any suggestions are very welcome.

I am wondering what files should I chek to see if all the files the scheduler needs are upgraded properly?

and do all the logfiles during an upgrade have to be empty. In other words should I redo the upgrade and redo it until I get through it without any errors?

Thanks in anticipation, Sijmen

You might check the Schedule HIstory table, I'm wondering if it's full and SQL is timing out trying to clear it/load it up?

Thank you very much.

I looked in the stored procedure purgeschedulehistory copied th sql code altered it to not look at dates and ran it in the sql page under host.

Now i have 3 entries in the shcedule history and I can see the schedule again.

Very good diagnosis, thanks again.
