Hallo guys!
I still have this very nasty problem. Nobody answered my question, and I suppose that it did not express myself clearly enough. So I try it again
When a forum user gets an email informing him that someone answered one of his posts, the email contains at the very top a link to get directly through to the concerned post.
This is what the guy sees:

You can view this thread by clicking here.

The html for this goes like this :

<td colspan="2" style="BACKGROUND: #cc0000" height="20">
      <font face="Tahoma" size="2" color="#ffffff">&nbsp;You can view this thread by clicking <b><a href="/Default.aspx?tabid=104&mid=479&forumid=2&threadid=804&scope=posts">here.</a></b></font>
</td
>

So the problem is that href does not incorporate the domain (it starts right away with /Default.aspx?...!
From what may this come from? How to solve this?
Thank you very much for any help!
Regards,
Fabian

For now, if you turn Friendly URL's on this will go away.  There is the answer to your question, anything else requires development effort.

Hi Crispy,

Thank you for the quick response!

I see. This is a problem for me as my page names have "é" or "è" or stuff like that and this is not supported by the server where the portal is hosted. So I may not turn on Friendly URL's.

But could you tell me where is the template for this email and I could put it in hard-coded.

Thank you for any further help!

Regards,
Fabian

It's not in a template, it is actually in the code.  It is scattered throughout. This includes the PostEdit.ascx.vb (in PostToDatabase), in post moderate and I think that is it.  There are other areas though this touches so its not a quick fix.  You also have to be careful when doing this.  I would probably check to see if  the url starts w/ "/" and if it does add the portal alias to it.
