Hi All,

I am using discountasp.net as a hoster for DNN sites and they are fine when a client has 50+ people in the company.....but I have reason to want to set up web sites with email boxes for smaller companies and discountasp.net don't go below 50 mailboxes with domains....I am an enom.com reseller for domains so I thought I would give their hosting a try out with DNN.  But I searched these forums and could find no mention of them as a hoster......(I see plenty of mentions of 1 and 1 as in 'stay away'.)

Can anyone here tell me if they have put DNN onto enom.com and made that work all nicely even for sites with only 10-20 mailboxes attached to them?

Thank you in advance for any feedback

Hi All,

thought I would just add here my experience with enom as a hoster. In short, very disappointing. I like them as a register...but as a hoster they seem to not want to answer any questions. I could not even get connected to the remote database.....of course I have much experience in doing so...

My first two efforts to find out why I could not get connected were met with pointers to the KB article and the closing of the case.

The third time I pointed out I knew how to get connected...the fact was the connection was not being allowed for a non obvious reason.

That finished up with a change of support software over the christmas break, three more followups on the new case to see if they would help me...and finally I just gave up.

After all, enom hosting tech support answered the question I had. Should I consider enom as a hoster for DNN web sites. And my experience in this endeavour is no.

I hope it is useful to others considering enom as a hoster for DNN sites.

Best Regards

Peter Nolan
