Hello all,

These questions are a little off-topic but...speaking of "OU"s and stuff...

Are users which belong to an Active Directory are duplicated in DNN? Or are they mirrored? or does DNN use the Active Directory directly?
In other words, does DNN use its own database to store usernames/passwords and role ("OU" information) and profile? If a phone number is changed in a user's profile in Active Directory -- is that change immediate in DotNetNuke or is there an automated (or manual) sync?
And is this Active Directory integration intended to replace the existing membership and role providers in DNN or is it intended to work in conjunction with the existing providers?
In other words...is it possible to achieve a sort of "mixed mode" authentication whereby people who belong to an Active Directory domain are authenticated via Windows Integrated Authentication by their AD credentials and roles are managed by their "OU"s -- while people who do not belong to the Active Directory domain are authenticated via Forms Authentication by their "DNN Membership" credentials and roles are managed by "DNN"s role provider?

I don't remember how much information is actually duplicated, as I don't have much user information filled out in AD.  I "can" tell you though that all this information is updated upon login, it has no active synchronization with AD.

Yes, you can have a mixed-mode setup.  That is what I am running here.  AD login isn't automatic here, you have to visit the windowssignin.aspx file to actually perform the login via AD, or use the forms login if you're not part of AD.
