Hi,

  Im trying to install the DotNetNuke version 4.3.4 on my Win XP profesional machine. I'm using the SQL Express and hence using the default settings. It installs fine and the intial page is displayed properly but when I try to access the login page it says page is not found. It gives the same message for menu and home link as well.

Its trying to access a page in under <installpath>/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx.

However I cannot find a physical "home" directory in the install root. So the file does not exist physically 

Have I missed any thing during the installation.

ASPNET user runs as administrator in this scenario.

I believe your problem may lie with friendlyurls. There are a number of threads dedicated to this problem you might want to review. The shown directory and file in your browser address bar is not exactly correct but modified by friedlyurls so that is easier to read in the dotnetnuke environment.

I was having the same problem until I "turned off" the friendly urls. The easiest way is directly in the database in the hostsettings table. There is another way through the installation itself that is documented in another thread - just google "friendlyurls +ForumsDotNetNuke site:dotnetnuke.com" and you should find the answer you are looking for.
