tools filemanger not working

on my local copy of a dnn website 7.3 the tools/filemanger is showing however at my provider the tools/filemanger is not showing and in below jscript snippet dnn['fileUploader'] is undefined

function openFileUploader() {

var instance = dnn['fileUploader'];

instance && instance.show();

};

are you talking about document manager in RAD richtext editor?
in this case I would suggest installing free CKeditor from http://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com.

no I'm refering to the menu item tools and then filemananager which the first submenu item and is above the menu item caching.

what happens if you select File Management from admin menu in Control Panel?

works fine, so does file management in the host menu in controlpanel
