SSL

What method is recommended to implement SSL with the Store module?  I've used Tom's SSL module on other projects, but wanted to know what others are doing when using the Store module.

Thanks.

By design, when the shopping cart is loaded the site will automatically redirect to https if it is still in http.

First, nice job on the store!

I don't have a SSL cert. to test the store with, but I think I understand how you're securing the checkout.

Questions:

1)  When the user navigates away from the secured checkout page, does it change back to unsecure mode?  It looks like it would remain using the https:\\ for all the pages viewed after the checkout page.

2)  What happens with multiple domain names on a portal?  For example, www.abc.com and www.xyz.com with only www.abc.com having the SSL certificate.

1) Yes it continues until they click something that is static http://

2) Certs do not support multiple domains*.  The user will get an error and be asked if they want to proceed.

* The one exception to this rule would be is the domains were sub domains (mySite.topDomain.com vs. yourSite.topDomain.com).  In this case you could get a wildcard cert for topDomain.com and it would be valid for both sites.  However www.site1.com's cert is not usable (without error) on www.site2.com.
