hello people,

I want to give to the users of a certain Role (let's say Moderators) the ability to assign other registered users to some existant Roles. I tried placing the module "Security Roles" to a page and I gave the Moderator group full permissions to View and Edit this module. Although the Moderators see all the options to Add or Delete a user to a Role, when the [Add User] button is pressed, nothing happens.

I want to avoid giving full Admin rights to the Moderators.

Can anybody help me with this?

Thank you.

(I use 6.1.5)

Dimitris,

ASFAIK only administrators may assign users to roles. There is nothing like a "role administrator" or "role owner" in DNN (which was a concept I really loved in the good old days of Novell NetWare... in fact, I loved it so much that I submitted it to the Community Voice - feel free to vote for it and comment it.)

Best wishes
Michael

Thank you for the reply, Michael.

I really thought that it was possible and it is too bad that it's not.

I voted in the community voice.
