I have a support ticket open on this but we haven't found a solution yet so widening the net. This is quite time critical for me so any help would be much appreciated.

I am installing CE 6.22 (clean install, using the Install package). The installation (I use the Auto option) completes without errors and I can log on to the site. All looks completely solid.

However, I opened a ticket because when I import a page from my productions site I receive errors related to permissions. I've gone through the installation again but I get the same errors.

The support engineer has Host access and has verified that the permissions (on the Pages table, for example) are "all messed up". I am trying to get more detail on what is happening but we are not near a resolution yet.

So I thought I'd ask here. After a clean installation has anyone seem a situation like this? As I say, apart from the page import (and what the engineer is telling me) there is no evidence whatsoever that the installation is bad. The install messages are 100% "success".

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Mark

You may have found a new bug. That happened to me with page templates in 6.1 and they fixed it next release.

Unless they can find a quick solution, you want to find a different way of getting your pages in to the new DNN install.

Thank you, Mark. I hope it's not that since a) I have a support engineer looking at this (and I'd assume/guess he'd be aware of this) and b) I have tried this with CE 6.2.0 and 6.2.2 and see the same issue. Then again, one never knows and I'll ask.

Out of interest, what options are available to me to get pages into my new installation? I have many pages so I am eager to have way to do this.

Thanks.

Mark

I've never used that feature in DNN but one option would be to manually create the pages on your test site one at a time. That may not be the easiest solution but one nonetheless.

Another option could be to back-up your live DB and restore it to your new test site. You'd have to change the portals table since the live DB would have entries to that domain but that part is easy.
