OK I figured it must be something linked to the new authentication providers. So I switched back to usernames and I still cannot log in, took out the social login providers still no luck. Tried to view the event viewer and get page error but since I cant log in via the server to see the errors no luck.

I had an email sent to me saying new user registration and lost password reminder showing me the username and password I was using... however I still cannot log in. I removed authentication providers from the list and set to username. No luck I cant log in and this is from 3 different browsers and 2 machines...

I do have a cookie saved on my IE browser that keeps me logged in as host to change settings but I cant log on to the website anymore from another browser or computer. Pretty bad bug as it has happened to more than one install so for now until I can figure out WTF happened I am locked out of a few portals, and its not because I forgot my usernames or passwords... they just dont work.

Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance I will keep playing around to see what I can come up with.

OK went in to register... and it would not allow a normal username only "Email" for a username so this must be a bug since it says "Username" on the log in field when logging in now.

And the funny thing is it asked for a username which it only allows a email address, and then it asks for email address... which it should just auto pupulate.

I am surprised this new login system does not just simply use the "Email" feild from registrations but actually puts the email into the "Username" field. These should be sperate and allow you to use both to log in ie a username or password. Sure makes sense to me however this way of thinking does not make practicle sense from what I believe would be the proper way of handling a login system that is changing like this.

Should be a good project for me to figure out but sure would be nice not to have to...
