Hi,

I made a very complex site, many pictures, photo galleries and a lot of text.

I would like to clone this site, change the alias, and then edit.

What is the best method? Use the template of DNN or module?

Thanks

for a very complicated site I would simply add the portal alias first, then copy the files/folder and database and restore to your new location. Alternatively you can use portal templates (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Portal-templates.aspx) however if any of your modules do not implement IPortable then their content will not be transferred.

Hi Cathal,

No the IP is the same because I want a new portal on the same machine ( Windows 2008 Server ) and in the same installation of DNN

Do you think is the best portal templates or a module that sell for backup?

Example:
