Hi Gilles,

When I try to build store source code sometimes I get the below compilation errors:

Error 12 Method 'Private Sub PasswordQuestionAnswerUpdated(sender As Object, e As DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.Password.PasswordUpdatedEventArgs)' cannot handle event 'Public Event PasswordQuestionAnswerUpdated(sender As Object, e As DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.Password.PasswordUpdatedEventArgs)' because they do not have a compatible signature. C:\DotNetNuke_2_Test\Website\DesktopModules\Admin\Security\ManageUsers.ascx.vb 829

Error 13 Method 'Private Sub PasswordUpdated(sender As Object, e As DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.Password.PasswordUpdatedEventArgs)' cannot handle event 'Public Event PasswordUpdated(sender As Object, e As DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.Password.PasswordUpdatedEventArgs)' because they do not have a compatible signature. C:\DotNetNuke_2_Test\Website\DesktopModules\Admin\Security\ManageUsers.ascx.vb 849

Any breakthrough to the above errors would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Raj

Now I cleaned the solution, closed visual studio and deleted Temporary ASP.net Files. Again opened the solution and gave build, this time it throws 3 errors:

Error 106 Method 'Private Sub PasswordQuestionAnswerUpdated(sender As Object, e As DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.Password.PasswordUpdatedEventArgs)' cannot handle event 'Public Event PasswordQuestionAnswerUpdated(sender As Object, e As DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.Password.PasswordUpdatedEventArgs)' because they do not have a compatible signature. C:\DotNetNuke_2_Test\Website\DesktopModules\Admin\Security\ManageUsers.ascx.vb 829

Error 107 Method 'Private Sub PasswordUpdated(sender As Object, e As DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.Password.PasswordUpdatedEventArgs)' cannot handle event 'Public Event PasswordUpdated(sender As Object, e As DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.Password.PasswordUpdatedEventArgs)' because they do not have a compatible signature. C:\DotNetNuke_2_Test\Website\DesktopModules\Admin\Security\ManageUsers.ascx.vb 849

Error 108 Method 'Private Sub SubscriptionUpdated(sender As Object, e As DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Security.MemberServices.SubscriptionUpdatedEventArgs)' cannot handle event 'Public Event SubscriptionUpdated(sender As Object, e As DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Security.MemberServices.SubscriptionUpdatedEventArgs)' because they do not have a compatible signature. C:\DotNetNuke_2_Test\Website\DesktopModules\Admin\Security\ManageUsers.ascx.vb 893

Any breakthrough to the above errors would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Raj

Hi Raj,

It's because you build your website! The website reference in the solution HAVE to be excluded from the build. You don't modify DNN, you create a provider for the Store module, then DON'T build the website.

Gilles

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Gilles,

Excluding the website reference from the solution(Test version) creates the build without any errors, cheers for the breakthrough :-)
Now I am trying to debug the store module selecting the website as a startup project and running it, in this case I get the above errors.

I have other copy of dotnetnuke(Developement version) and Store with sources and there everything works fine though I add website as reference. I am able to debug the store running this website from visual studio.

Just wondering why the errors only with my test version.

Thanks,
Raj

Hi Gilles,

Finallay changing the start options of the website to Default.aspx eliminated errors and I am able debug my test version too.
Thank you once again for the great support.

Raj
