Hi Jay,

Great! Now my advice is to make a diff each time I release a new version to save times. :-)

Please read this post about the new 'Checkout Mode' setting for details. This setting is not related to the payment provider, but to how orders are linked to an acount and some other features like virtual products.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Jay,

I know than jumbled numbers can be disturbing, but it's for historical reason (Store V1.0 and v1.1). Previously, the order status text was hard coded in the sproc, because core modules now have to be localizable I choosen to use this trick to maintain old values and allow translation.

If you are able to setup a dev config with no-ip, send me an email (glepigocher AT yahoo.fr) we could arrange a remote assistance session to try to found a solution.

Hi Gilles,

Thanks - I do have no-ip.com set up.  I can see the site from outside my network (when using a port other than 80), and I can set up the paypal sandbox with the no-ip IPN address.  I'm also able to capture page load events from the url, so it's working correctly, however, I am not able to receive ipn notifications.  I've tried dnn home page, dnn store page, paypalipn.aspx page directly.. none will trigger the paypalprovider to do anything.  The order is created in DNN and directed to paypal sandbox for payment which all works, however the order stays in Awaiting Payment status - with no detectible ping from PayPal.

I've sent you a mail also - I would appreciate some help setting it up.

Thanks,

Jay

Hi Gilles..

Thanks for the debugging session.  After seeing that the PayPal sandbox was actually calling the store module (using a return URL) rather than the IPN setting in DNN, and seeing the code hit, it was clear that the Pending status in DNN was being updated with the Pending status from Paypal. - so it looked like the status hadn't changed.

I discovered the setting in PayPal that was forcing the Pending state - it's called "enabled 'payment review'" - which basically keeps orders in Pending state until approved in PayPal itself.. I turned that option off and status is coming back as Paid in DNN!

Pay Pal is a pain to debug, so thanks for the help.  Once it was clear that DNN Store Module was working and that PayPal was sending Pending, it was simple to research and find out why in PayPal...

Thanks,

Jay
