Pages are NOT in pull down list for Redirect After Registration: pull down selections

There are 62 pages in the Admin/Pages list, there are only 38 under Admin/security roles/user settings/redirect after registration.

Why are pages missing?   What if I wanted to redirect to an HTML page or even anoter site????

Details:
I want the user to go to a certain page after registration.

So I created a new page in DNN and did not put it in menu.  I put the wording I want and saved it.

Then if I go to the Admin page and select pages, the new page is naturally on the list of pages and I can edit that page.

Next I went to Admin Page the select Security Roles, then select User Settings and go down to option Redirect After Registration: and click on list box to see pages.

My New page is NOT THERE, and I cannot type it in (I must select from list).

I go back to Admin/Pages and YES it is there.  Actually there are 3 different possible redirect pages and none of them have all the pages.

Is this a bug???

you may redirect to active and visible pages only and not to admin pages or redirecting pages (no chains allowed here).

I am sorry to sound stupid, but I would rather sound stupid than STAY stupid.

What is the definition of active & visible?
Is that only pages in the Menu?

For example if I create a new DNN page and make it visible to everyone and the address is
http://www.XXXX.com/pol2/Thanks_for_R...

I can log off DNN and close browser.  Start new browser and paste that address in and NO PROBLEM it goes to that page.  However it does not show up as available to redirect to after registration.

BY THE WAY,
I do so very much appreciate the wonderful help on this Forum!  It literally makes DNN a MUCH better product.

I am still unable to determine the logic for the pages it shows in the pull down list for pages for possible redirect after registration.

Contrary to expected, the pull down list DOES show the Admin page and even the modules on the Admin page.  It also shows several pages I setup just for the Admin/Host (no public view).

It seems to show ANY page that is part of the menu regardless of who has rights to view it.

Any page NOT in the menu does not show in the pick list.

The Admin page was in selection list so I selected the Admin page (which is WRONG because user does not even have rights to see it).

I registered as a new user and it did what I would expect, it took me to a login page, but naturally I could NOT login because I did not have the security code that had been sent to my email.

It seems very unlikely that this is what the design intent was for this page pick list on redirect after registration.

Please help me unserstand what I am doing wrong.

AFAIR, pages not visible in menu are not provided as link target - even though you may expect it. Feel free to log it as a bug in the DNN issue tracker at support.dotnetnuke.com. Besides, disabled pages (which cannot be clicked) and redirected pages are excluded as well - for obvious reasons IMHO.
