I'm having trouble getting my site to use the default login page.

Here's what I did:

First I created a new login page and called it Login and directed login page url under advanced site settings to this new page.
I then created another page called Login2 and again directed the login page url to this new page.
Then I switched back to login page url to 'none specified' and after doing this I think it was directing me to the first login page I created.  I thought that was strange behavior but I'm new to DNN so I didn't think too much about it.
Lastly I deleted both Login2 and Login pages.

Now when I try to login it just redirects to my home page.  I suspect that the problem may be that I named my first custom login page Login which overwrote the default settings because they were the same name.  I am able to access the login by navigating to http://localhost/dotnetnuke/?CTL=Login so thankfully I'm not locked out.  I am sure that I can fix this by creating another custom login page and redirecting there but I would like to figure out how to get the original login functionality working.  I've read some threads that suggest that changing the logintabid field to NULL will fix the problem but it doesn't.  At least as far as I could tell in all the tables where LoginTabID is referenced the value is already NULL.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

When you deleted the pages did you also Empty the Recycle Bin? If not, they are still actually there, only soft-deleted. Try emptying the recycle bin then try again.

Let me know if that works.

Hey that did the trick!  Thanks a lot!   I was skeptical as I couldn't see how that would fix it.  Would you mind explaining why that worked?
